Dr. Jay Arnone and Dr. Christian Fritsen have joined the faculty of the Desert Research Institute's Biological Sciences Center.
Arnone received his Ph.D. from Yale University and was an assistant professor at the University of Basel, Switzerland from 1994-1998. His primary research interests focus on the responses of plants and terrestrial ecosystems to changes in the global environment.
Fritsen is a polar ecologist who received his Ph.D. in 1995 from the University of Southern California and did postdoctoral work at Montana State University on microbes in ice.
