REID TO SPEAK AT C.A.V.E. DEDICATION
Provo, UT – On Wednesday, October 10 at 12:30 p.m. PT, U.S. Senator Harry Reid of Nevada will speak at the dedication of the Computational Research and Visualization Building, or C.A.V.E., at the Desert Research Institute on the campus of the University of Nevada, Reno. The C.A.V.E. is an advanced piece of visualization equipment that will allow scientists to visualize their research from all perspectives. Reid has worked hard to make the C.A.V.E. a reality, obtaining $9 million in appropriations for the project in 2004 and 2005. With the C.A.V.E., the Desert Research Institute becomes one of the most technically advanced visual research facilities in the world.
The media is invited and encouraged to attend.
